Some rooms receive bottled water or selected drinks on a schedule, while others provide only an empty refrigerator or limited initial supplies. Travellers should confirm what is included instead of assuming daily restocking.
What a Cuba resort minibar may include
Depending on the property and room type, the refrigerator may contain bottled water, soft drinks, beer or nothing at all when you arrive. Premium rooms and upgraded service levels may include more frequent replenishment, but inclusions can change. Ask reception or guest services for the current policy at check-in.
Do not depend on daily restocking
Even when daily minibar service is advertised, delivery times and available products may vary. Keep enough drinking water for the evening and early morning rather than waiting until the refrigerator is empty. Check the refrigerator immediately
- Confirm that the refrigerator is powered and cooling.
- Photograph or note what is present when you arrive.
- Ask whether items are included or charged separately.
- Report leaks, unusual heat or electrical problems promptly.
- Confirm the restocking schedule and where to request additional water.

What to do when bottled water is limited
Contact housekeeping, reception or guest services before the evening rush. Requests made early are generally easier to process than late-night requests. Keep a reusable bottle, but fill it only from a source the resort identifies as safe for guests. Do not assume bathroom tap water is suitable for drinking.
Medication and baby supplies
If you need refrigeration for medication, ask the resort directly whether the room refrigerator maintains a suitable and stable temperature. A minibar is not automatically a medical refrigerator. Do not remove hotel bottles, glassware or equipment unless staff confirms that they are disposable or included. Before check-out, inspect the refrigerator and remove personal food, medication and reusable bottles.
