All-inclusive does not always mean every service is included. Cuba resort guests may encounter extra charges for late checkout, premium services, lost items, laundry, room upgrades or other optional services.
Ask what is included at check-in
Confirm whether the room safe, Wi-Fi, minibar, towel service, room service and specialty restaurants are included in your package. Policies can differ by hotel, room category and tour operator.
Request prices before accepting a service
Ask for the full price, accepted payment method and whether the charge is per person, per room or per use. Do not rely on assumptions based on a previous stay at another resort.
Keep receipts and written confirmations
Save receipts for laundry, upgrades, medical services, excursions and other paid items. For a room change or late checkout, request written confirmation showing the agreed price.
Review the bill before departure
Check the statement before the airport transfer arrives. Question unfamiliar charges while there is still time to speak with reception or guest services. Our checkout planning guide explains how to organize the final day.
Common charges to verify
- Late checkout or day-room access
- Lost towel cards, wristbands or room keys
- Laundry and pressing
- Premium food, drinks or room service
- Medical consultations
- Room upgrades or special arrangements
A clear question before accepting a service is the best protection against a surprise bill. Keep proof, review charges early and resolve disagreements before leaving the resort.
