Best room locations for less noise
| Location | Noise risk |
|---|---|
| Near lobby or theatre | Shows, music and late arrivals |
| Near service road | Deliveries, buses and staff vehicles |
| Near elevator | Doors, conversations and luggage |
| Near pool bar | Music, animation and evening activity |
| Far wing or garden side | Often quieter, but may be farther from services |
What to request before arrival
- Higher floor when elevators are reliable.
- Room away from entertainment areas and service roads.
- Garden-facing or end-of-corridor room.
- Two beds or preferred room type confirmed separately.
Inspect the room at check-in
Listen for nearby music, mechanical noise, doors and traffic before fully unpacking. Test the air conditioning because a loud or failing unit can make sleep difficult.
If the room is too noisy
- Record the source and time of the disturbance.
- Ask reception for another room in a different building or floor.
- Keep written proof of repeated complaints.
- Contact the tour representative when a serious issue is not resolved.
Balance quiet, distance and mobility
A far garden wing may be quieter but require longer walks. Travellers with reduced mobility may prefer shorter distances even when the area is busier. Decide whether quiet, elevator access, beach distance or lobby proximity matters most before requesting a room.
Pack simple sleep aids
- Comfortable earplugs and a sleep mask.
- An offline white-noise recording or app.
- Travel headphones when appropriate.
- Regular prescription medication in its original packaging.
Inside the room, close balcony doors completely, check the latch and keep luggage away from vibrating furniture or cooling equipment. Report unusual mechanical noise instead of attempting repairs.
