Learn the daily routine
Ask when rooms are normally serviced and whether a door sign is required. Keep valuables secured and remove personal items from beds or floors before staff arrive.
Request essential items early

- Drinking water when included
- Soap or shampoo
- Extra bedding
Contact housekeeping or reception before evening if something important is missing.
Bring basic supplies
Pack enough personal soap, shampoo, tissues and hygiene products for the trip. Hotel products may be limited or replaced inconsistently.
Report maintenance separately
A cleaning request does not always reach maintenance. Report broken locks, leaks, electrical problems or air-conditioning failures directly to reception and keep a record.
