Bars at Varadero resorts may include a lobby bar, pool bar, beach bar, snack bar and evening lounge. Hours, drink selection and operating venues can change, so confirm the current schedule after check-in.
What drinks are commonly available
Resorts usually serve local beer, rum-based cocktails, soft drinks, coffee and water. Imported brands and specific ingredients may be limited. Ask what is available instead of relying only on an older hotel description.
Bottled water
Some hotels place bottled water in rooms, while others provide refills at bars or designated stations. Ask how drinking water is distributed and keep a reserve for the night, excursions and airport transfers.
Reusable cups
A clean reusable cup can reduce waste and may keep a drink colder, but staff hygiene procedures and hotel rules should always be respected. Wash the cup regularly.
Alcohol and heat
- alternate alcoholic drinks with water;
- avoid excessive drinking in strong sun;
- do not swim after heavy alcohol consumption;
- keep control of your drink in public areas;
- use safe transportation after leaving the resort.
Tipping and small bills
Tipping is appreciated when service is good, but it should remain voluntary. Carry small bills and avoid displaying a large amount of cash at the bar.
