How towel cards work
A towel card is exchanged for one towel at the designated desk. When the towel is returned, the card is returned to the guest. The card may need to be handed back during check-out.
Ask these questions on arrival
- Where are towels collected and returned?
- What are the opening hours?
- How often can towels be exchanged?
- Is a card or deposit required?
- What fee applies to a lost towel or card?
Do not leave towels unattended
A towel left on a chair is not a secure reservation system. It may be removed by staff or taken by another guest. Keep the towel with you or return it when leaving the pool or beach for an extended period.
Exchanges may be limited
Fresh-towel availability can be affected by water, electricity, staffing or laundry limitations. Exchange the towel during posted hours and avoid waiting until late evening.
Before check-out
- Return every resort towel.
- Recover the towel card or receipt.
- Keep proof if reception records the return manually.
- Resolve any disagreement before the airport transfer arrives.
Should travellers pack a towel?
A full-size beach towel takes considerable luggage space. A lightweight quick-dry towel can be useful for excursions, unexpected shortages or an early departure after the towel desk has closed.
