Cuba Resort Pool Chairs: Etiquette, Security and Sun Safety

Pool and beach loungers can be limited during busy periods. Clear etiquette helps avoid conflict and reduces the risk of lost belongings.

Check the resort policy

Some hotels remove unattended towels or prohibit early-morning chair reservations. Ask staff how the system works rather than relying on what other guests are doing.

Keep valuables with you

• Use a small waterproof pouch
• Carry only limited cash
• Leave passports in a secure location
• Do not hide phones under towels
• Take the room key when swimming

Use shade carefully

Move out of direct sun during the strongest hours, reapply sunscreen and drink water regularly. A shaded chair does not eliminate heat exposure.

Respect shared space

Remove belongings when leaving for meals, excursions or a long break. Keep walkways clear and avoid moving another guest’s items without staff assistance.
