How to fill out the Cuba eVisa — step by step

1. Open the official portal: evisacuba.cu, then select Apply for a visa.
2. Select the country and consulate. The portal shows the applicable fee, consular contact information and available payment methods.
3. Copy the traveller information exactly as shown in the passport:
   • nationality;
   • passport number;
   • first name;
   • middle name, if applicable;
   • surname;
   • second surname, if applicable;
   • date of birth;
   • email address;
   • sex or gender;
   • telephone number when requested.
4. Add other travellers if needed. The portal can group multiple applications. Verify each passport separately.
5. Choose the payment method offered by the consulate. Methods can vary by country. Avoid unofficial sites that imitate the government portal.
6. Review everything before submitting. Pay particular attention to the passport number, names, date of birth and email address. The eVisa is linked to the passport used for the application.
7. Complete the Captcha and submit the application.

9. Complete D’Viajeros next. For Canadian travellers, the Government of Canada says the form may be completed starting 72 hours before entry into Cuba. Enter the 10-character eVisa code when required, then save the final QR code.

Special note for Canadians

The Government of Canada says Canadian tourists need a visa for Cuba. The tourist visa is generally included when an eligible package or direct flight from Canada is offered by a tour operator or airline. However, when travelling through a third country, including a connection, travellers must obtain the Cuban eVisa in advance and enter the 10-character code in the online form.

As of October 3, 2026, the Government of Canada still states that Canadian airlines have suspended service to Cuba until further notice. Canadians currently using international airlines should therefore pay particular attention to the third-country eVisa requirement.
