- 200 ml thick crème fraîche
50 g of powdered sugar
6 eggs
100 ml of milk
20 g of flour
1 vanilla pod
2 teaspoons of natural vanilla extract
Cake de nata is a recipe of Cuban origin. It is prepared with eggs, flour, sugar, crème fraîche, milk and vanilla. No puff pastry, no special mold and no robot, this is the ideal recipe for making a quick and delicious cake!
Making a cake de nata is a bit like making a thick pancake batter that is then cooked in a mold.
To make a cake de nata, simply mix all the ingredients in a mixing bowl, pour the mixture into a baking mold and put it in the oven for 30 minutes of cooking. Child's play !
Preheat the oven to 180° (th6) fan and grease the inside of a 20cm diameter baking tin.
Whisk together the cream and powdered sugar until smooth.
Separately, whisk the whole eggs into an omelette then add them to the previous mixture while whisking.
Then add the sifted flour, then, little by little, the milk, whisking constantly.
Split the vanilla pod and scrape out the seeds with the tip of a knife.
Add the vanilla seeds to the dough as well as the vanilla extract and mix.
Pour the dough into the previously greased mold and bake for 30 minutes.
If the surface browns too much, cover the cake with aluminum foil halfway through baking.
The cake de nata is cooked when the blade of a knife stuck in its center comes out dry.
Let your cake de nata cool before carefully unmolding it and enjoying it.
