I wondered about this so I asked it on our group too. ;-) So here's what we know.
Dominoes are probably the Cubans' favorite game. They are also quite fond of chess and Cubans rank very well internationally. Of course, they are very big baseball fans and enjoy being able to go see a game at the stadium closest to their home.
The children
A child, no matter what country he lives in, remains a child. ;-) He will always find something to amuse himself or, if necessary, invent his own game with his own rules.
It seems that anything that allows for tinkering or drawing is very popular, including the big chalks that our children use here to draw on the sidewalk. If there is no sidewalk, they will find a wall or a piece of wood.
The classic little glass beads are also popular!
And yes, in Cuba too little girls play with dolls, when they are lucky enough to have one, and boys can spend hours having fun with a ball or a small car.
Before taking over from their dads to patch up old American cars, they also built their own "jaws", just like our children.
There are toys that are produced in Cuba, but they are quite rare and very expensive. This firm is in Europe right now (October 8, 2021) to present its products in order to market them there.
Let's face it, what's more beautiful than children laughing out loud while having fun?
