Effective against traveler's diarrhea: activated charcoal

Effective against traveler's diarrhea - Activated charcoal is touted for its anti-flatulent properties and its soothing abilities against pain related to digestive disorders.

The Activated Charcoal formula, offered by the Quebec company Léo Désilets, is presented as an effective antidote to reduce the risks of diarrhea in travelers. It acts as a general adsorbent, useful for preventing or treating food or drug poisoning.

Adsorption involves the capture of elements responsible, or potentially responsible, for adverse effects in the digestive system. Thus, it contributes to the rapid elimination of toxins, pathogenic bacteria and even poisons through the intestinal tract.

This formula, available in capsules or powder, is known to relieve flatulence, bloating, abdominal pain due to gas and feelings of digestive heaviness. Its action, although gentle, is effective. It is recommended to use it occasionally, for a maximum of two consecutive weeks, and to space it out from taking medications, contraceptives or food supplements (two hours before or after) so as not to reduce its effectiveness.

By acting as an adsorbent of unwanted substances in the digestive tract, the Activated Charcoal formula from the Léo Désilets company is an essential element in the natural first aid kit and when traveling abroad.
