Protect your bottles well
Whether you want to bring bottles of wine to Varadero or bring back bottles of rum, you have to put them in your hold luggage, unless you buy them at the airport's "duty free" of course.
The best thing is to place them in the center of your suitcase and surround them with your clothes so that they can absorb the shock and thus preserve the bottle.
You can also use packaging like the one in the photo or "bubble" wrap.
An interesting and inexpensive thing!
